Description:

From Juneau Public Market Website:

Each year, the "Public Market" features well over 150 vendors from every corner of Alaska and the Pacific Northwest. It is held on Thanksgiving weekend in the Juneau Centennial Hall and Convention Center and the nearby Juneau Arts and Culture Center (JACC).

The next Public Market will be held November 28, 29, and 30, 2014.

The first Alaska-Juneau Public Market was held in 1983, one of the first events to be staged at Juneau's new convention center. Soon, the "Public Market" became a well-established holiday season tradition for the people of Juneau and the surrounding region.

Items for sale include a wide variety of jewelry and Alaska Native arts; custom made garments, decorations, and utensils like knives and ulus; gift-quality foods such as wild berry products, smoked salmon, herb teas, and salad dressings; holiday gift packages, a selection of toys, and recently published books. Our motto is "Only at the Public Market," since most of our crafters and artists display only at this show.

A well-served food court provides the weary shopper (or their standby assistants) a place to sit to enjoy an entree, dessert, and beverages. We also have an espresso bar.

Open to the public: noon to 7:00 p.m. Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

At Centennial Hall, we charge admission to the Public Market; at the Public Market Annex in the Juneau Arts & Culture Center (JACC), admission is free.
